🌴 Welcome to the tropics — a few island notes: 🚧 Please note: Two new pool villas are currently being completed right next to our property, which may result in some construction noise during daytime hours. 🦎 Small geckos indoors are harmless, friendly bug-eaters — our best mosquito control. One may always sneak into the house now and then — nothing to worry about 🌊 Tides shift daily; at low tide a natural sea smell & seaweed can be normal near the coast ⚡ Electricity is included in the rate — no separate metering for guests. ⚡ Short island-wide power outages are normal — usually back within minutes. Not the villa, just the grid. Relax & enjoy 🦟 Mosquitoes are active at dawn & dusk — use local spray (e.g. "Soffell" from any 7-Eleven), keep doors closed & AC on 🐜 After rain, swarms of tiny winged ants may chase outdoor lights — keep doors/windows shut, switch off outdoor lights briefly; it passes quickly 🍽️ Never leave open food, crumbs or sweet drinks out — store everything in the fridge or airtight containers 🐍 Monitor lizards & snakes are shy and avoid people — just keep your distance and let them pass 🎶 Night sounds of tropical birds & insects are the real jungle soundtrack — enjoy it! 🏗️ Koh Samui is a growing island, so occasional nearby construction noise can happen — out of our control, but we hope for a peaceful stay. Currently, there is an active construction site next door to the villa; work typically happens during daytime hours. 📸 We swap out worn items immediately, so small details may differ slightly from the photos — same quality, comfort & concept, just kept fresh 🤝 We speak English, Thai & German— 100% response rate, usually within 1 hour.
